LANAP™
Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure (LANAP™) is a breakthrough in periodontal treatment, although not all patients are candidates for this procedure. In appropriately selected cases, benefits include:
- There is often less discomfort with LANAP™ than with standard surgical procedure because there is no cutting with scalpels or sutures.
- LANAP™ takes LESS TIME than traditional surgery. Usually two 2 1/2 hours visits to the office and two follow-up visits. Traditional surgery usually requires four sessions of about 1 1/2 hours each with additional visits for suture removal and check-ups.
- Many patients find that they have a shorter recovery period so you won’t lose as much time from work.
Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure (LANAP™) is safe for patients with health concerns such as diabetes, HIV, hemophilia, or those taking medications such as Coumadin or Cyclosporin.
